A practical option while the framing is open.

Batt insulation fits into the spaces between framing members. It is an option for new construction, additions, and remodels where the areas to be insulated are accessible.

We’ll review the work with you or your general contractor and explain the areas, materials, and installation included in the estimate. The choice depends on the framing and the needs of the project.

What batt insulation customers say.

★★★★★
“I've had Energy Star Insulation do both spray foam and install fiberglass batts. Spray foam about a year ago, and fiberglass batts just recently. I'm very happy with the outcome of both.”

Questions about batt insulation.

Have a question about your building? Call Heath to talk through the project.

Can you help with a small addition?

Yes. We work on projects of different sizes, including additions and remodels. Call to discuss the space and the work you need.

Do you work with general contractors?

Yes. We can coordinate insulation as the project reaches that stage. Share the plans and expected framing schedule so we can review the scope.

Can I compare batts with spray foam?

Yes. Heath can explain the proposed options based on the framing, accessible space, and needs of the building. The estimate will describe the work recommended.

Is batt insulation less expensive than spray foam?

Usually, if the building already has 2×6 framing deep enough for an R-21 batt. The comparison can change in an older 2×4 wall. R-13 batts fit that existing cavity, while around three inches of the closed-cell foam we use can provide about R-21. Furring the wall out to 2×6 depth to fit an R-21 batt adds lumber and labor, so the total can be comparable to spray foam. We’ll price the full scope and confirm the insulation product, thickness, and R-value for your project.
